1. Who We Are

StatusRooster ("we", "us", "our") is an uptime monitoring service operated as a sole proprietorship. Our website is statusrooster.com. You can contact us at support@statusrooster.com.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, and hashed password when you sign up.
  • Monitor configuration: URLs, domains, and settings you enter to configure your monitors.
  • Check results: response times, status codes, and uptime data collected when we check your monitors.
  • Alert contact information: email addresses, phone numbers (if SMS alerts are enabled), Slack webhook URLs, and custom webhook URLs you provide for notifications.
  • Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
  • Usage data: pages visited, actions taken within the app, and server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide uptime monitoring and send you alerts when your services go down or recover.
  • To send transactional SMS notifications (only if you have opted in by providing your phone number in your account settings).
  • To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
  • To improve the reliability and features of StatusRooster.
  • To respond to support requests.

4. SMS Alerts

If you provide a phone number and enable SMS alerts in your monitor settings, you consent to receive transactional SMS notifications related to your monitors (e.g., downtime alerts and recovery notifications). Message frequency varies by monitor activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can also opt out at any time by removing your phone number from your monitor settings.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — for payment processing.
  • Twilio — for SMS delivery (phone number only, no other personal data).
  • SendGrid — for email delivery (email address only).
  • Google Cloud — our hosting and database infrastructure.

All subprocessors are bound by their own privacy policies and data protection agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Check results and incident history are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@statusrooster.com.

7. Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit, bcrypt hashing for passwords, and Google Cloud Firestore for data storage with access controls. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time via your account settings or by contacting us at support@statusrooster.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of StatusRooster after changes constitutes acceptance.
